ABOUT

ABOUT ME

An interest in Veterinary Physiotherapy was sparked during my teenage years when I had an ACPAT Physiotherapist treat my horses for maintenance to keep them happy, healthy and sound. It was then that I decided that this was the career for me combining my interests in sport, anatomy and biomechanics with my passion for animals. A background of riding and competing has enabled me to have a good understanding of the requirements for different disciplines.

I studied to become a Chartered Physiotherapist at Cardiff University, graduating with a First class honours degree in 2019. I went on to practice in the NHS for two years treating respiratory, neurological, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. In 2021 I specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy whilst starting my Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Hartpury University. I qualified in 2023 and am currently involved in a research project looking at the relationship between equine conformation and kissing spines.

As a Chartered Physiotherapist, I am member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT). This means I am fully regulated and insured to provide evidence based practice to effectively treat you and your animals. I work closely with the veterinary profession to ensure the highest standard of care for your animals. I also continue to treat humans in private practice. Based on the Somerset/Dorset border, I travel to clients in Somerset, Dorset, East Devon, and South Wiltshire.
